Margaret Enright, MPH, CDE, CPHQ, has been a Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) for over 25 years and is currently employed by TMF Health Quality Institute (which is currently the medical Quality Improvement Organization for the state of Oklahoma). In previous positions, she has been the Director of Health Education and Diabetes Education for a large primary care group practice in Central Oklahoma, where she provided DSME services for hundreds of clients with Type 1, Type 2, and Gestational Diabetes. Additionally, she provided several trainings on diabetes for both medical and support staff. During previous work with the medical Quality Improvement Organization, she worked directly with multiple physician practices throughout the state on analyzing and improving their internal workflow, implementing EHR systems, and on improving their clini-cal quality measures. Currently, she coordinates the DEEP (Diabetes Empowerment Education Program) Train-the-Trainer project for TMF Health Quality Institute in Oklahoma, which is designed to spread the evidence-based DEEP program to multiple communities where residents with low literacy skills need effective, comprehensive diabetes education services designed to meet their particular needs.
